We helped 4 people reinstate their drivers license today

We helped 4 people reinstate their licenses today. One lady came in to purchase insurance, and she didn't know her license was suspended, until I ran her Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to issue the policy. That was bad news to her. I called the Alabama Drivers License Division, found out that it was due to an unpaid ticket from a missing headlight. She sent a money order to the County. She will get a reinstatement from the County, then take it to the Jacksonville State Troopers office for reinstatement. I was able to still issue her policy anway. She was really grateful for the help. She tried to give me a $25 tip, but I wouldn't take it. She feared that she would have to return her new car, since she didn't have a license, but she was happy when she left - knowing that she was getting her license back.

Another man knew his license was suspended due to child support, but it will be eligible for reinstatement next week. I was still able to issue the policy. I printed out a map to the Jacksonville State Troopers office from my web site (http://www.kerrywilson.com/sr-22.htm) and gave it to him. He was thankful for that information, because he did not know where to go, or how to get the license reinstated.

The other man - Josh helped. He had lost his license due to points but was eligible for reinstatement with an SR22. Josh issued the certificate for him and gave him a map to the Jacksonville State Troopers office.

We also had another man come in with a New York drivers license. We ran the MVR, and found out that his license was suspended. We called the Alabama D. L. dept., and found out that it was due to an unpaid ticket from New York. We still issued a policy for him, but he will need to contact New York and get a clearance before he can get an Alabama License.
